I haven’t even covered the whole gambit of features that Bookmarking Demon has, but suffice it to say that it is a social bookmarking software that is on par with any in its class, and in my opinion, it’s one of the best out there. I know some people might say “Yeah, well, you’re an affiliate, so of course you’re going to say those things.” I do promote Bookmarking Demon through my affiliate link, no doubt, but I can honestly say that I’m practicing what I preach here…actually, it’s better to say that I’m preaching what I practice. I’m using the software, and I have found it to be an absolute essential tool in my arsenal.
One of the features of Bookmarking Demon that is a definite plus is the Scuttle Search feature (known as “Multiscuttle”). Basically what the Scuttle Search does is scour the web to find any website that runs the Scuttle script, which is basically an open-source script that enables any webmaster to create their own social bookmarking site. Who knows, there may be another Delicious or Digg out there in the making…in the meantime, Scuttle sites abound on the Web, and while they may not carry much weight in Google’s eyes, they are still one of the easiest places in the world to get links (most of the time dofollow as well), with the least amount of hassle. Shoot, with Bookmarking Demon, you can automatically register accounts on anywhere between 25 to 35 Scuttle sites at any given time, and you don’t even have to verify the accounts through your email address or anything; they don’t have CAPTCHA’s either. Once this is done, just click “Bookmark!” and you’re good to go; with the proper tagging techniques, you can generate tons of anchored links to whatever site you’re trying to promote.
Even though you can garner a truckload of links through doing Scuttle runs with Bookmarking Demon, don’t get ridiculously greedy and bookmark the same URL about 50 times per site. I don’t know how else to put it than to say that it’s just bad taste to do that. Be sensible, be reasonable, and most of all be patient. The links will count when they get counted, and you’ll see the effects of your efforts soon enough.
I have made it a rule to do about two Scuttle runs per day, one run in the morning and one run at night, for whatever URL I’m promoting. This is reasonable (with proper tagging of course, which we’ll go over in a future post). It’s not out of line to do even three or four runs, as long as you vary the links and the anchor text. Just do your best to not appear like a total spammer.
Again, the Scuttle sites are yet another effective bookmarking tool featured in Bookmarking Demon. I know that with the July upgrade, this feature will more than likely gain even more functionality, so it would be well worth the investment to get BMD before the upgrade takes place. Give it a shot for yourself and you’ll see how cool it is.

Bookmarking Demon is Updating in July 08!
While I've been in the midst of my different Bookmarking Demon reviews based on the different features and aspects of the Bookmarking Demon software, it occurred to me that we are coming up on a sensitive time where decisive action is required. I created this blog as a place to review Bookmarking Demon and to give people more than just some paper-thin bunch of sales-pitchy talk, but to actually show them a little more in-depth what Bookmarking Demon has to offer, coming from someone who actually uses the software, and not just sells it. Once again, I can say from personal experience that I am very pleased with BMD, and I have seen direct results from using it on many of my niche blogs. The link-building power of Bookmarking Demon is evident, as I have seen my own blogs go from absolutely NOWHERE in the Google serps to page 1 for most of the terms I have targeted. While I have also worked my doggone butt off in doing article submissions and directory submissions, as well as actually creating original content for my posts (a VERY time-consuming task), I can attribute a lot of my results to BMD's backlink-building ability. I believe it takes a balance of a lot of factors to see your site do well in the serps, but in my mind, if you're not using Bookmarking Demon to build links, you're shooting yourself in the foot.
Which leads me to my next thought (the time-sensitive thought)...Edwin Brian, the creator of Bookmarking Demon, sent an email out about a month ago saying that he is planning a major overhaul of Bookmarking Demon by creating a new updated version of the software (Version 4). This new update is due out sometime in July. He said that anyone who purchases the software before the update is released will get the update for free, while anyone who purchases Bookmarking Demon after the July update will pay an increased price. He is planning a whole new set of features, and greater functionality overall. My humble advice would be, if you have the money or even if you're not sure you do, to go ahead and purchase the current version of Bookmarking Demon before the July upgrade, so you can lock in the $97.00 price and get the upgrade for free. I don't know what the new price is going to be, but I do know that it will be more, and that's all I need to know. I have heard from several people across the Web that BMD is on par with any other automated social bookmarking software out there, even the ones that cost upwards of $200.00. Is it worth the investment? Hopefully all of my previous posts (and this one as well) have given you enough information to make an educated decision. Ultimately, only you know what you can do financially, but I do admonish you to see this as an investment and not an expense. Bookmarking Demon is already paying off dividends for me in my Adsense account, so I know it can do the same for anyone else who chooses to use it. Seize the day...get BMD before the July upgrade!

Bookmarking Demon Video Overview
As a blog whose primary purpose is to review Bookmarking Demon and explain the many features and benefits of this bookmarking tool, I thought it would be good to include a helpful video that features an overview of Bookmarking Demon. So, for your viewing pleasure, here's a good BMD video.
This video is a YouTube video that is a little out-of-date as far as which social sites are still enabled on Bookmarking Demon, and also regarding the Scuttle sites feature (which we’ll cover in a later post). The main reason why I think it’s good for me to include it here is because you get to see the process of automatically registering for the different social sites on BMD, including how filling out the CAPTCHA’s work. Check it out…
As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. The whole process of registering for the different social bookmarking sites is greatly accelerated by running them through BMD. The speed of the registrations and the ease at which you can enter the CAPTCHA's was really one of the main selling points to me. Don't always expect 100% successful registrations, as sometimes this won't happen, and for a myriad of reasons. Just be glad to get the sites you did get, and make the most out of your bookmarking runs. At any rate, hopefully with this video you were able to get a better visual of how Bookmarking Demon actually does what it does...pretty cool.

What Social Bookmarking Sites Does Bookmarking Demon Feature?
One of the most efficient features of Bookmarking Demon is the fact that it is a bookmarking tool that can create accounts automatically with many of the major social bookmarking sites. What this means is that when you register for the different social bookmarking sites through Bookmarking Demon, all you have to do is type in an initial username, password, and email address that you want to use for all of the accounts across the board, and then the CAPTCHA’s for the different sites will flash across the screen. As they pop up, you’ll have to enter the letters or numbers for the CAPTCHA’s, but then once that’s done, you’ll be registered for the sites. This whole process takes a grand total of about 5 minutes, whereas if you were to do each site manually, visiting them one-by-one, it would probably take about an hour to do all thirteen of those sites. The only thing you’ll have to do beyond this registration is to check your email and confirm the different accounts you signed up for. While I’m on that topic, let me list the 13 sites that Bookmarking Demon has active drivers for at this time (I’m working with the latest version):
· Bibsonomy.org
· Bmaccess.net
· Del.icio.us
· Faves.com
· Getboo.com
· Linkagogo.com
· Mister-Wong.com
· Netrocket.com
· Netvouz.com
· Simpy.com
· Spotback.com
· Spurl.net
· Taggly.com
Of the thirteen listed here, about four of them are dofollow sites: Bibsonomy, Mister Wong, Netrocket, and Spurl. Some people are of the mindset that “if it’s a nofollow site, it’s not worth leaving your links there”. Dude, don’t be stupid. Number one, you need all kinds of backlinks to have a balanced link profile, and number two, many times Google counts nofollow links as dofollow, due to the sheer volume of links being followed by their bots. Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t spend a ton of time bookmarking URL’s on known nofollow sites, but they do have their place in your linking profile, because it helps your site’s linking structure to appear more natural. It can only help in the long run for you to bookmark your links to all kinds of sites. After all, a link is a link is a link!
In conclusion, if you’ve been looking for a social bookmarking tool that can work in an efficient manner to score a good amount of backlinks for you in a very short period of time, Bookmarking Demon is a must-have.

Is Bookmarking Demon a Good Bookmarking Tool?
The purpose of this blog is mainly to provide a review of Bookmarking Demon and also to describe my own experiences with this particular bookmarking tool. I can honestly say that I’m happy with this purchase; I have seen the backlinks to many of my blogs increase by the hundreds in only a matter of weeks since beginning to use the software. The way I normally check for backlinks is just using the Yahoo Site Explorer feature, which is VERY easy to do. In case you’re not sure how to do it, here’s a quick step-by-step mini-tutorial:
1. Log on to Yahoo.com.
2. Type the command “link:” and then the URL of the site you want to check backlinks for into the search bar. For example, if you wanted to check the backlinks for Google, you would type the following query into the search bar: “link:http://www.google.com”. Make sure to include the “http://www” part as well.
3. Hit “Search” and let the good times roll.
The results will return to you how many backlinks your URL has…don’t try this with Google, because you’ll be supremely disappointed if you do. Google doesn’t count but a fraction of the amount of links that Yahoo counts. Plus, when you start doing runs with Bookmarking Demon, you’ll see that the links from the social sites you’re promoting show up way more in Yahoo than in Google.
The reason why I say that Bookmarking Demon is a great bookmarking tool is because I’ve seen actual results from it. I have a blog in a health & fitness niche that only had 32 backlinks in Yahoo before I started using BMD. Within a period of literally two weeks, doing a total of 7 Bookmarking Demon runs (which isn’t a whole lot; I was super-busy with building several other niche blogs and that’s all I could muster at the time), that blog now has 235 backlinks according to Yahoo. Now I did other things to build links in the meantime, such as commenting on blogs and so forth, but the bottom line is that the BMD links count for a large percentage of the new links coming in.
You can call me somewhat of a Bookmarking Demon evangelist. I have tried OnlyWire and I have tried SocialMarker, and my honest professional opinion of both of them is that they SUCK compared to Bookmarking Demon. If you’re looking for an efficient social bookmarking software to build quality backlinks in a short period of time, Bookmarking Demon is it.

Bookmarking Demon: Black Hat or Not?
If you want to make any progress with link building using social bookmarking software, Bookmarking Demon is definitely a workhorse that you’re going to want in your arsenal. The program was developed by Edwin Brian of EdwinSoft, and I can honestly say it is one of the best bookmarking tools on the market. Some people believe that the $97.00 price tag is a little steep, but for the efficiency that BMD affords, to me it’s hard to beat, and it’s a one-time investment that will pay large dividends in the future.
There have been several concerns raised by bloggers and internet marketers all over the Web about whether or not Bookmarking Demon is a spamming tool or a black hat tool. Let me make this clear. I believe that the person operating the software is ultimately what’s going to determine if a piece of software is either black hat or white hat. Blogger Generator is considered by and large to be a black hat tool, but even an innocent white hat can derive benefit from it without crossing the line over into abuse, if they simply do everything in moderation and within reasonable limits. Think about it: A hammer in the hands of a carpenter can build, but a hammer in the hands of a sociopath serial killer can destroy. Sorry for the somewhat crude analogy, but the point is that the tool is only as black hat or white hat as the person using it.
That being said, Bookmarking Demon is a bookmarking tool that definitely has the capability of being used for spamming purposes; you can create multiple accounts with each social bookmarking site, so it’s up to you if you want to be reasonable and create maybe two or three accounts per site, or if you want to be a complete idiot and create hundreds of accounts per site, which will get your accounts (all of them) banned in short order. If you want to go the black hat way, just be mindful not to create anything that you don’t plan on losing. You have to keep in mind that you may lose all that you were working for, so be reasonable and know your risk, whatever hat you choose to wear.
At the end of the day, Bookmarking Demon will accommodate you, regardless of what color your “hat” is. It is an excellent bookmarking tool that deserves an honest assessment and an honest try by any internet marketer.

Bookmarking Demon: The Bookmarking Tool for the Rest of Us
This blog was created to review Bookmarking Demon, the social bookmarking software that has caught much attention as of late. Many of us have been looking for a bookmarking tool or some kind of automated social bookmarking software that can cut down on the VERY tedious process of registering at different social bookmarking sites, then adding our links to those sites. This most of the time requires registering with a name, an email address (which you have to confirm), and then typing in the funny-looking letters in those pesky “CAPTCHA’s” to establish an account. While all of these actions are necessary to utilize the social bookmarking sites, at the same time it is extremely time-consuming. This process on the average social site usually can take anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes. Now, multiply this by however many links you want to add on several different sites, and this process can take hours at a time.
For those of us that don’t want to go the “spammy” route, but still want to bookmark our URL’s and obtain legitimate backlinks from lots of social bookmarking sites, Bookmarking Demon is an excellent bookmarking tool to use to facilitate this process in a MUCH easier manner. As this blog goes along, not only will I go more into the different features of BMD, but I will also describe several of my own personal experiences with using the software, which so far has been pretty great. You can definitely call me a Bookmarking Demon fan, and I’m not afraid to say that any link to the software you find on this blog will contain my affiliate link…just wanted to put that out there for the sake of disclosure. Until next time...happy bookmarking!
